Beyond The
Look...
Welcome to the 2007 Cattleman s Choice Bull and Heifer Sale!
As we all know, the Maine-Anjou breed has long been recognized
as the performance breed. With our close ties to the show
ring, this fact sometimes gets lost in the day to day thinking
of what Maine-Anjou cattle can do for commercial producers.
Our sire testing programs and steer feeding trials
substantiate the breed s ability to influence solid feed
conversions and good rates of gain, which equate into a higher
dollar return for each dollar invested by the commercial
producer.
Within this offering there are a variety of bulls that will
meet different needs for your breeding program. Low birth
weight bulls, high milk bulls, bulls with high
performance numbers and a number of bulls that exhibit solid
numbers across the board.
Breed average EPDs have been provided at the beg inning of
each new section of the catalog to assist in your selection
process. When making EPD comparisons, use these numbers as a
gauge for determining what is above and below average for each
sale category.
